Ready in about 10 minutes, this quick and flavorful Kielbasa Stir-Fry is an easy weeknight winner. Sweet chili sauce gives the dish a lively sweet-spicy kick, while colorful bell peppers brighten both the flavor and the plate.

That photo always makes me hungry—even at breakfast. I love using fresh, multi-colored bell peppers whenever I can; they add sweetness, crunch, and a vibrant presentation.

I often keep kielbasa on hand for nights when I need something fast but tasty. It’s great in soups, pasta dishes, and stir-fries. When I spotted bright peppers at the store, this stir-fry came together in my head—perfect for a busy evening when we’re heading out early.
For a sweet, slightly spicy flavor I use Thai sweet chili sauce. It’s available in most grocery stores and is an excellent shortcut to add a bold glaze to stir-fries. Works well with sausage, chicken, seafood, or even leftover hotdogs.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil of choice (I prefer avocado oil for its neutral flavor)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 medium onions, chopped (yellow onions add a pleasant sweetness)
- 2–3 bell peppers (mixed colors for a pretty plate), sliced
- 14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 5–6 tbsp Thai sweet chili sauce, diluted with 2–3 tbsp water or adjusted to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste (optional)

How to make Kielbasa Stir-Fry
This stir-fry cooks quickly, so do your prep before heating the pan: mince the garlic, chop the onions, slice the peppers, and slice the kielbasa. Once everything is ready, the cooking steps are fast.
1. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Add the oil and swirl to coat.
2. Add the garlic and onions and sauté for about 4–5 minutes, until the onions soften and become translucent.
3. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until heated through and lightly browned to your preference.
4. Add the bell peppers and cook just until tender-crisp so they retain some texture and color. Taste and add salt and pepper only if needed—often the kielbasa and sauce provide enough seasoning.
5. Stir in the diluted sweet chili sauce to coat the kielbasa and vegetables, cooking just until the sauce is warmed through. Serve immediately over rice.
Easy, fast, and satisfying.
