Making cold brew at home has never been simpler! This French Press Cold Brew Coffee uses a French press to make brewing quick, easy, and mess-free.

Happy Friday, friends! I’m back to blogging with one of my favorite easy “recipes.” Now that the weather is warm, I’ve been reaching for iced coffee all the time, and this Easy French Press Cold Brew Coffee is my go-to. It’s simple to prepare the night before, let it steep in the fridge, and have ready-to-drink cold brew in the morning. It’s fast, low-mess, and wonderfully refreshing.

I used to avoid iced coffee because it often tasted watered down, and I still love the comfort of a hot cup in the morning. But when the heat hits, a chilled glass of cold brew is unbeatable. I enjoy experimenting with different coffee blends and flavored grounds; a flavorful blend makes this method especially enjoyable.

What do I need to make French press cold brew coffee?
The method requires one essential tool: a French press. This approach keeps brewing tidy because the press itself filters the grounds, avoiding extra sieving or multiple filters. Besides the French press, you only need your favorite ground coffee and cold, filtered water.

How do I make this French press cold brew?
- In a 1L French press, combine 1/4 cup of ground coffee with about 4 cups of cold filtered water. Leave approximately 1 inch of space at the top of the jug. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are moistened.
- Cover the French press and place it in the refrigerator to steep overnight (about 12–18 hours for best flavor).
- When ready to serve, secure the French press lid and slowly press the plunger down to separate the grounds from the liquid.
- Serve the cold brew over ice with milk and sweetener if desired, or warm a portion if you prefer hot coffee. Enjoy!

I hope you’ll try this super simple French press cold brew. I make it regularly at home—it’s smooth, concentrated, and even better when you use a flavored blend. Cheers!
